Project Empties - September & October Update
Sorry for being so MIA lately. Work has been busy, so more overtime for me, but less time for me to actually blog. Oops. I will try to do a post a week (she says).
So I thought I'd shared with yous what skincare items I finished in September and October.
I finished another tub of The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter in September. This is my holy grail first cleanse cleanser. I love how effectively takes off the day's grime and SPF and it emulsifies so easily. For £10, you can hardly go wrong. Another product I finished in September was The Body Shop Aloe Calming Cream Cleanser. I enjoyed this, but I won't necessarily repurchase it unless I was looking for an Aloe based cleanser. But it's a good, hydrating cleanser if you want to try something more hydrating and gentle.
In September, I also tried a sheet mask for the second time ever. The first one I had ever tried was Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask, which was very off putting. But I was walking past TK Maxx one day, and I spotted a few Tony Moly sheet masks on display. So I bought two. I tried the Tony Moly I'm Real Moisturising Sheet Mask in September and I was pleasantly surprised. It was very moisturising and it is a great way to spend half an hour chilling out. The fit was a bit off for my face, but it worked. I'd definitely buy it in the future as a treat.
I also finished a tube of the Avene Trixera Nutrition Nutri-fluid Lotion. This is a decent, no frills, hydrating body lotion designed for dry skins. This did help hydrate my skin, but I wouldn't necessarily repurchase it. I also finished the Avene Trixera Nutrition Nutri-fluid Cleanser in October. This was a decent, hydrating body cleanser, and I would buy it again in the future, but not right now.
I finished a small travel size tub of the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads in October. I was really disappointed with this, as I had heard good things about them. These were my first foray into AHAs and I feel that it didn't do anything other than leaving my skin a bit red. I followed all the precautions and use SPF in the daytime following using these, but they didn't do much for my skin. I think I'll try a different AHA in the future.
I was testing a small tub of The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. This was just a bit too rich for my skin, but if your looking for something moisturising and have dry skin, this would be a good product to try.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading this and I promise to try and post more often.
Thanks for reading!
