In the test queue - Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum


I'm currently testing the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum. I was browsing on YesStyle one day and this brand caught my attention. I've seen people rave about Klairs Supple Preparation Toner but I'd never seen anyone mention any of their other products. I decided to buy this as well as buying the popular Supple Preparation Toner.

Klairs describe this as a gentle aqueous serum which helps replenish moisture and soothe the skin. I'm currently loving hydrating products at the minute so I decided to start testing this. My first thoughts are that this has a nice consistency. I've been using this on a night to start with, I may add it into my morning routines once I know it's not going to break me out. This is feels so light and absorbs so easily. I'm really liking it so far. I particularly like to use this on the nights where I use a BHA as my skin can feel a bit dry from using it. I feel like this is helping improve my moisture levels. My skin can feel so dehydrated after a day at work, that this is nice to use.

I'm hoping that this doesn't break me out, it hasn't so far, and that I can use it everyday as hydrating step in my routine.

In the test queue - REN Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk

I like to try out new products, but I have to introduce them slowly to try and prevent any major reactions to products. I patch test every new product in the same area, my cheek, chin and nose. My chin and nose are where I experience any breakouts, if I have one. My cheek is where I experience no breakouts, so I test there to see if a new product would cause a breakout in that area, and if it did, the product would be unsuitable for me. I patch test new products for four weeks, to give my skin time to react to the product. I'm currently testing the REN Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk . Although it's called a cleansing milk, it has much more of a whipped texture, like a cream, more than a milk. I like the pump packaging, it's very efficient. My first impressions of this product were disappointing. I had such high hopes for this product. It sinks in quite quickly once massaged onto the skin, and it comes off easily with a face cloth, but it's just disappointing. ...
