June Empties

Image
Well, June has flown over for me. What a month. Time is just flying by lately. Skincare empties: Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel sample - My god, this was a beautiful cleanser. It smells divine and it's a pleasure to use. This a gel to oil to milk cleanser. When you squeeze it out of the tube, it's a gel. Then once massaged onto the skin it turns into an oil. Then when you rinse with water it turns into a milk.  Clarins Cleansing Milk with Gentain sample - This was a really nice cleansing milk. I can't get the whole suction movement you're meant to do when using this, but this was a nice cleansing milk. If I was in the mood to buy it, I think I would, but there are cheaper options out there.  La Roche Posay Hydreane Legere Moisturiser - This is my holy grail moisturiser. I think I will continue to use this until they stop making this. Which I hope is not for a long time yet. This is lovely and gentle and hydrating for my skin.  Noreva Sensidiane Micellar Milk...

SVR Sun Secure Fluide SPF50+ Review

Image
The Product:  SVR describes this as a dry touch fluid that leaves a matt, non-greasy and non-sticky finish. One of the things that interested me about this sunscreen is it's claims that it protects against Infrared and Visible Light, as well as UVA & UVB rays. Ingredients:  Aqua, Diisopropyl Adipate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Homosalate, Methyl Methacrylate, Methylene Bis-Benzotriazoyl Tetrametylbuylphenol, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol, Methoxyphenyl Triazine, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Silica, Beheneth-25, Ethyhexyl Triazone, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Daucus Carrota Sativa Root Extract, Decyl Glucoside, Glycine Soja Oil, Hydrogenated Phospatidylcholine, Lecithin, Lepidum Sativum Sprout Extract, Phenetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Squalane, Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, 1-2 Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Disodium Edta, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate C...

May Empties

Image
Well, another month has come to an end. May has been a decent month for me, I finally started my driving lessons and I'm enjoying it. I am going to try and post on here more often. First up is skincare empties, I didn't finish many skincare products in May. Caudalie Moisturising Toner - I did not like this. I used this as a body mist to use it up. It didn't really seem to have any benefits to it. I will not purchase this again. Etude House Sunprise Must Daily Lotion SPF50+ - This was a nice lightweight sunscreen. It left no white cast, and it contains no Avobenzone which is what I want in a sunscreen. The reason I won't be purchasing this again was it left my skin too shiny after I had applied it.  La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume - I love this stuff. It's really great at helping damaged skin heal a lot faster than if it was left on it's own. I use this predominantly on my arms on any scratches and scraps I have. I will always have this in my skincare col...

April Empties

Image
Well, I know this is a bit late considering May is nearly over. But I forgot to write any blog posts. Oops. I am going to try and write a few posts and publish one each week. That way there will be no silence on here for weeks on end, like there has been. First up is my skincare empties for April: First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser 56.7g - I did not like this as a face cleanser. But my hands loved it as a hand wash. A nice creamy texture, but it lathers very easily. I will not be buying it again.  La Roche Posay Hydreane Legere moisturiser 40ml - My skin seems to respond so well to this. I've tried other moisturisers but nothing compares. I'll contain to repurchase this.  Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Enriched Calming Toner 190ml - This toner is the best. It's so underestimated. I love it. It contains Niacinamide, a stable form of Vitamin C, Borage Seed Oil and Evening Primrose Oil. My skin looks and feels good after using this. I liked to use this on a morning befo...

In the test queue - Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum

Image
I'm currently testing the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum. I was browsing on YesStyle one day and this brand caught my attention. I've seen people rave about Klairs Supple Preparation Toner but I'd never seen anyone mention any of their other products. I decided to buy this as well as buying the popular Supple Preparation Toner. Klairs describe this as a gentle aqueous serum which helps replenish moisture and soothe the skin. I'm currently loving hydrating products at the minute so I decided to start testing this. My first thoughts are that this has a nice consistency. I've been using this on a night to start with, I may add it into my morning routines once I know it's not going to break me out. This is feels so light and absorbs so easily. I'm really liking it so far. I particularly like to use this on the nights where I use a BHA as my skin can feel a bit dry from using it. I feel like this is helping improve my moisture levels. My skin can feel so d...

Easyparapharmacie Haul #3

Image
I made an order on Easyparapharmacie recently for a few items. I needed another tube of my go to SPF at the minute, the SVR Sebiaclear SPF50 Creme. I love this so much. I know FeelUnique have started stocking it, but I can get it for a lower price on Easyparapharmacie. As well as buying my favourite SPF, I bought two other SVR SPFs to try. The SVR Sun Secure Fluide SPF50 is something I'm excited to try. I've tried this on the back of my hand so far, and it is very fluid, true to it's name. I love the fact that SVR don't use Avobenzone in any of their SPFs. Avobenzone irritates my skin a lot, and my skin has felt a lot better since using SPFs without that ingredient in them. I'm also intrigued by their claim that they not only protect against UVA and UVB damage, but also protect against damage from Visible Light and Infrared. I'm currently testing this at the minute, and I'll make a post with my thoughts on it in a few weeks time. I also bought the SVR...

March Empties

Image
Well another month has flown over. I swear it was only the beginning of March last week. Crazy. Anyway, here's my monthly empties post. Skincare Empties: First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream 56.7g - I bought myself a First Aid Beauty gift set last year and I tried this on my skin and it seemed too much for the skin on my face, but this was perfect for my body. I used this every time I got out of the shower and it left my skin moisturised. I probably won't be repurchasing it though. La Roche Posay Hydreane Legere moisturiser 40ml - This is my go to moisturiser. I've tried others but nothing compares. I will repurchase it in the future and I have moved onto a new tube of this.  Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief Moisturiser Normal to Dry Skin 60ml - This is nice moisturiser, but it's too rich for my skin. So to use it up I used it on my body.  This was nice but I won't be buying it again.  REN Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk 25ml - I've tried this b...

February Empties

Image
Well, that's another month over with. February has seemed to flown over for me. And with that, I've used a lot of products up this month. So this is going to be a long one. Skincare empties: Avene Antirougeurs Clean Cleanser 200ml - I didn't really enjoy this at all. It's marketed as a cleansing lotion but it's more like a cleansing milk. If you're looking for a no thrills, basic, fragrance free cleanser, this could be something to consider, but I won't be purchasing it again.  REN Evercalm Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask 10ml - I didn't really enjoy this at all. This had a weird fragrant scent and it was too much. And I don't think the mask did anything when I used it. I got this in a REN travel bag set, and I won't purchase a full size version of it.  SVR Sebiaclear SPF50 Creme 50ml - This is my favourite sunscreen at the moment. I love how easy this goes on, and it leaves no white cast. And it contains no Avobenzone so it doesn't i...

Recent purchases

Image
I've purchased quite a few new products this month, so I'm going to share with you what I've been buying. I made an order on YesStyle at the end of January. I purchased two Asian sunscreens which I'm excited to try when I've finished my current sunscreen. The two I bought are Etude House Sunprise Airy Finish SPF50+ and Etude House Sunprise Daily Must Lotion SPF50+. I also received a free sheet mask, Skinfood Beauty in a Food Sheet Mask , which is an added bonus as I've been wanting to get some more sheet masks to try. I'll do reviews of all of them when I've used them.    I also made an Paula's Choice order at the end of January to use my £5 discount that I received on my Birthday. I got a few samples of some products I wanted to try. The ones that have stood out to me are; Rehydrating Moisture Mask (This is a wonderful hydrating mask), Resist Weightless Advanced Repairing Toner (This is so nice, I'm definitely getting a full size bottle...

January Empties

Image
Sorry for being a bit MIA again recently. I haven't had the energy to blog. But I'm trying to come up with a posting schedule. Today I'm going to write about my empties for the month of January. First up is skincare empties. I didn't finish many skincare products this month. Avene Eau Thermale Spray 150ml - I love the Avene Thermal Spray. I've gone through a few of these, and I will always have one on hand. It's so refreshing and soothing. And it has so many uses. I use it to refresh myself during hot days. I use to soothe my armpits after I shave them. Or to help my body lotion apply easier. Will repurhase Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid 30ml - I really liked this. I initially used this as a spot treatment when I had a hormonal spot, but I used it as an all over exfoliant and it left my skin really soft. I've purchased a full size one to trial and incorporate into my routines.  La Roche Posay Toleriane Soothing Protective Cream 40...

Review - The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%

Image
The Product: This is a Vitamin C Brightening Serum from The Ordinary by Deciem. It's a water based serum with a stable form of Vitamin C, Ascorbyl Glucoside. Ingredients:  Aqua (Water), Ascorbyl Glucoside, Propanediol, Aminomethyl Propanol, Triethanolamine, Isoceteth-20, Xanthan gum, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Ethoxydiglycol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol. Thoughts: I really like this serum. This is my first foray into using a Vitamin C serum and I did see a bit of a brightening effect on my skin. The main reason I wanted to start using a Vitamin C serum was for the antioxidant benefits. It has helped reduce the amount of hyperpigmentation that I get after I have a spot. This has also helped with some textural issues I have with my skin at the moment. The only downside is that it is quite tacky after applying it. And sometimes when I apply my moisturiser after letting this sink in for a few minutes, it can cause some piling of products....

I am back!

I'm so sorry for my absence for the past few months. It was hectic at where I work and I was doing a lot of extra hours, which I'm not complaining about, but I had no time or energy to blog. But it's a new year, and I'm back! I now have the time to focus on my blog and Instagram account. I've got a lot of ideas for my Instagram account, and I'll link the posts on here. I want to get back to focusing on to the blog and building up my Instagram account. This is just a brief post to say hello and that I will be back! Thanks for reading!
